If you want a nice laptop, and screen size is more important that portability, then you want a 17.3 inch laptop.  The displays are large and vibrant.  No squinting to look at tiny text.  And when you are done using your laptop, you can fold it up and put it out of sight – something you can’t easily do if you have a desktop and large monitor.
